I’m a stay at home mother of two amazing children ages 4 and 18 months. However, after 4 years of speaking toddlerease, I definitely miss writing and expressing critical thinking. This blog will have several layers, as I’m able to get going and post. Topics I’m passionate about are multiple. However, they seem to contain a common thread: I don’t tend to follow the mainstream and my husband and I are constantly seeking alternatives to almost everything, or if we’re not seeking alternatives, we’re looking to improve something.
I have an M.A. in literature (though I might be somewhat rusty) in addition to a degree in creative writing and history. I’ve taught college composition as well as computers. For a few years I also supported servers. Now it seems that my passions are leading me toward getting training in Cranial Sacral Therapy, Temperament Psychology, and coaching parents and pregnant mommas.
Topics will be various and seeming disjunct with everything from dealing with food allergies and diet changes, parenting, birthing, alternative health information, to religion, reviews of books or articles I find particularly helpful or angering, and whatever else suits my fancy.
I have an INFJ temperament, which I will probably talk about much more and as I’ve begun to understand and appreciate the gifts and traits from that temperament a bit more, it’s become more influential in my parenting as well as what I “want to be” when my kids grow up.
